The Indian Pow Wows We've attended seem to center around the dance competition, at least for the visitors.
There are many diffirent catagories, some open to all "just come on and dance with us" to others that are restricted due to their spiritual nature, tribal restrictions, type of dance "costume" worn, age, sex, and perhaps many others.
In the serious dances the competition can be very tough, and skill levels extreme.

While we didn't visit any in 2008, I hope 2009 will change that.
