Polychromatic Parking Deck

Polychromatic Parking Deck                                            ©2009 Alan Schrank

I got an early start Saturaday, the shoot at Old Car City was to start at 8:30, but I thought there would be many opportunities to shoot along the way.  I have seen many nice pictures of the Cobb Energy Center. I found my way over, but I was sad, the center's light were off. (why would they be off at 6:00 am? Just kidding.) However I saw a building across highway 75 that was incredible.  I don't know why the lights on each level were a different color, but I was glad.

What parking deck is this? Does it light up like this every night?
It isn't affiliated with One Overton Park?

Glen, It is around Atlanta on 75 north just before you get to 285. I shot this from across the highway near the Cobb Energy Center. I've only been there once, but I assume the colors are due to different types of lights being used in various places, sodium, florescent, incandescent, etc.

Are you in Atlanta?

No, I'm in Durham, North Carolina. I like the idea of making a parking deck colorful at night. On google maps, I found a parking garage for One Overton Park, but I called them and they didn't know anything about it. So, I don't think it's there deck. I sure would like to know which garage. It's a nice photo, by the way.

Glenn,
I don't think they did it on purpose. Also the picture is a long exposure, I'm not sure it would look this extreme if you were just driving by.
