I waited for the sun to go down.  I waited for it to get dark.  Another photography arrived, he was just in from Nebraska, on his way to the Sawtooth range, but was stoping in Jackson for the night.  He had heard about star trails and wanted to give it a shot.  That's why I was staying too.  About a hour after sunset, we were ready.  For this picture, I left the shutter open for about 50 minutes.
