In late October, Kathy and I, took a trip around the upper right corner of Arizona. After passing the road to this National monument on our way to Kayenta the afternoon before, we drove back the next morning. I really glad we did! The monument is 9 or 10 miles off the main road, has a nice little visitors center/ museum, which also served as the base for the two trails we hiked that windy morning.

This composite picture was taken from the trail that descends into the canyon, but dead ends before reaching the bottom.
